This must be a new closure, it looks like the old one near Roanoke will be open in the spring.
Actually, because of the detour near Roanoke I've been taking Rt220 all the way to Floyd and find it a nice ride.  I haven't been on a bike for a month, that hasn't happened for decades.

Been down to Floyed some year back. Forget the route I took,but down town with all the street musicians is very cool.

Do you stay at Hotel Floyd? I love that place..........cool little town.

Usually I stay at a friends house in Meadows of Dan or Willville MC Campground. Both are just a few miles South on the Blue Ridge.
