Waved this guy out onto Tuckerton Road from the WaWa near Taunton the other day.

He happened to be going the same way as me.

So I chased him down.... well, followed him like a creeper, and pulled into the Taunton Forge shopping center behind him to say hi.

Hopped out of my Jeep and he saw my black/white Moto Guzzi sweatshirt immediately and reacted quite favorably.

He goes by the term Red and is an OLD skool (knuckle-draggin) BMW guy who more recently has picked up this V7 III Stone with the LED package (but has had others).

He still has a "50 year old Airhead"

Don't know if anyone here knows him. ... he professed a great liking for Laconia and Daytona, a hatred of Harleys, but a complete lack of presence on the internet (when I tried to suggest this group and breakfast/lunch rides).

He claims his daughter is a retired Marine in intelligence and she once called him up and said "Dad, you're looking at porn, a LOT, and you're buying too many guns and gun paraphernalia, the FBI has a jacket on you" and he says he threw away his computer  (I make no claims to being able to tell if this is a creative blow off or he's just a little bat-shit crazy).

Could really be the latter though - sine he noticed my "Don't Stop Believin' Sasquatch" magnet on the back of the Jeep (diagonal from the Calvin and Hobbes "Life is Short Ride a Moto Guzzi Naked" sticker) and launched into a soliloquy about Squatches and a guy in the Medford Health Food Store who is very serious about it, who verified that Squatches love Peanut Butter - So that explains why when he was a kid, camping in the Pines, and they heard a huff in the darkness and log was thrown at their tent, then they rapidly fired a rifle in that vicinity and bolted the hell out of there, and came back the next morning to find the tent destroyed but the peanut butter and jelly sandwiches they had with them neatly taken out of the bags and eaten.....

Seriously I kinda wish we could find this guy and get him to a meet up, cause I think he'd be a hoot.

I tried though

These are the people that used to show up at the old West Virginia rally in New Cumberland.
Always interesting.
As far as the Sasquatch, when your out West camping alone five+ miles off the pavement the thought of their existence does go through your mind.

Hey, I've gotten happily drunk at the New Cumberland rally with the "all you can drink" mug.

He actually mentioned said rally, but wasn't there for a year with all the kegs.

As for Squatches, nothing would make me happier if they were real.

When we were in Colorado last year we went to the Sasquatch museum, that's where I got the magnet. Though I confess I got it equally for the funny Journey/Sopranos reference.

Did 'Red' express any interest in joining our group? Sounds like an interesting guy (even if his lane positioning could use some work).

Nope, that's the Internet/no computer part of the story.

I gave up trying at that point
