Barber Vintage Days.
Seeing as the entire Southeast has become a hot bed for COVID, I've decided not to risk going to Barber this year. They have a no return no cancelation policy so I'm stuck with a camping permit and a three day pass. If someone on here wants them I'll give it to you as an early Christmas gift. It's the 7 - 10 of October.
Let me know if your interested.
I'll likely be putting this on the BMW site in a few days.

I guess the answer is yes, no or maybe. With the virus ( new and old types) running rampant in the Southeast I just don't have a warm fuzzy about going.Mac wrote:Not looking for an argument, but dosen't the vaccine keep you from getting the virus?

Nowhere does it say that the vaccine will prevent you from getting COVID, especially delta. Just reduces/eliminates the risk of getting critically ill. Same with naturally acquired immunity.
Anecdotally, the delta variant went through our friends family - parents in the 40's and kids from 13 to 3. All were un-vaccinated but possibly immune, and had mild to no symptoms.
That said, it's a personal choice and that's what's important. Weigh the risk and make your own decisions.

To clarify, the Vaccine is 95%+ effective against preventing hospitalization and serious illness.
It makes it less likely for you to get or transmit the virus, but it's no guarantee.
The good news is that if you get it the symptoms/duration etc. should be more mild/not as long etc.
And age is a huge variable in it, as this disease seems to be much more severe the older you get.
But I can understand not wanting to get it 1000 miles from home in the middle of a motorcycle trip. That could be a PIA.

HEY -- I won't deny it, I was old ten years ago. And yes that was a factor in my decision.
