Indian of Monmouth (Moto Guzzi)

Stopped by today on my way home from my daughter’s.  They had a couple of v7s, a v9 bobber, and the famous v85tt McDonald’s bike. Talked to the owner/president Ron Mitro, who said additional bikes are on the way and that he has a Guzzi certified tech in house and is stocking parts.  He also said that he rode a Guzzi in college.  I mentioned our club and talked about a group visit.  If we’re interested, I’ll check out some restaurants in nearby Ocean Grove and Asbury Park.  Let me know. There may be some hope for New Jersey and Guzzi after all!

While Jim Hamlin is THE MAN I will try to support the 'local' guy when possible. A group ride there would be fun and show Ron some love.

I figured to wait for warm weather (but not the tourist season) so we could get a decent group together.   Remember Lake Como is only 5/6 miles South (on Rt71) of the dealer.

Klein’s ‘s in Belmar is a good place to eat. They have a patio deck on the river and decent parking available. We could go there after the visit to the Guzzi dealer and after the Harry initiated Mecca visit to Lake Como, NJ (formerly South Belmar not Mandello Del Lario, Italy)! We could also try Mr. Shrimp in Belmar but I’m not so sure about their parking.

There's also Jersey Shore BBQ in Belmar. Haven't been there in years but remember it as being quite good..
