Best Bikes Empty Best Bikes

Talking motorcycles on an old guy list started on best bikes.  Candidates ranged from a 1955 Gold star (DBD BSA) to a new Gold Wing.
IMHO I think the most sensible/useable bikes were made during the late 70's to the mid 80's.

I'll nominate two:
The 1977 BMW RS:

So many bikes - so hard to choose. 'Best' means different things to different people but I picked three that we're arguably best in their class and that I owned at one point:

Honda Hawk GT - ahead of it's time middle weight

Honda CB400F - it was a real jewel, both visually and mechanically

and Husky 400 WR - who doesn't want to be Steve McQueen?
