Road conditions 'Out West'
If you never rode 'Out West' this is what you can expect. Berthoud Pass is on RT40 just North of Rt 70. Great road, endless turns and elevation changes, high speed - no guard rails and the just redid it about five years ago.
August 25 and it's snowing today.

Re: Road conditions 'Out West'
Driving in the Rockies is a different experience. With snow frequently occurring at high elevation I continue to be baffled at rental fleets having summer tires on their 4x4s. I had some scary moments taking a rental Tahoe over the passes between Co Springs and Breckenridge due to OEM rubber.
