V65 SP (was '77 850 T3)
Anyone have experience with the T3's? I'm looking at this one near Trenton and would like a little feedback. I believe that 77's came stock with chrome bores so I asked the owner if they've ever been replaced. Anything else I should ask about?

I met that guy before that owns that bike although I can't remember the details about it. T3 did come with chrome bores. I sold mine just recently for 3k which I thought was fair price and it still had the chrome bores, 10k on clock, ran real good. Brian

I kept shopping and came across this '84 V65 SP in Saratoga. Looks to be in better condition and though 3 hrs away may be a better deal. Same question - what issues to look for on this model.

Cute, and looks like it's all there.
It's a smaller frame than the LeMan, SP1000 bikes.
Not a rocket and wasn't very popular.
Good collector bike as not many survived.

Driving up tomorrow (Saturday) to see the bike. Talking to the owner it seems like he cared for it well. Will be very disappointed if it doesn't follow me home in the trailer.

Bought it. Will need a full tune up after sitting all winter. Runs rich but clutch, gearbox and brakes all seem good.
Looks like a good deal for $2K but we'll see how much it takes to get it running well.

Good luck with it. As I said, not many left around, especially with all the major parts still on it.

Looks great! Rare to see all the plastic bits, especially the lowers.
