And yes, Saint Nick was very good to me - new Tourmaster Transition jacket and aluminum side covers for the V7 like the ones on this scrambler.

If my series four (no hood) was more than one season old I would consider getting a five, just to have the hood.
My only bitch with the Tourmasted was I had a 'glow in the dark green' one and the fabric  faded badly after one season.  I wear a Belstaff in the winter (no vents) and the Tourmaster in the summer because of the venting which works well on those really hot days.

I like the look of that Scrambler, gives me some idea how Jenn's new Carbon is going to look like with a rack, though I think we're going with the slightly larger HB rack.

I got a GoPro camera and a couple pairs of riding compression socks from Revzilla, among other things.....
I like those side covers.
Kev, got that bike yet?

I've been thinking about purchasing compression socks for longer rides. I didn't know they had motorcycle specific socks. Do alot of touring riders where these? I guess I know where my revzilla christmas gift card will be spent! Brian

The one on this scrambler is the Guzzi 'small' rack that has a very low load rating. I had the Givi rack/carrier on the bike but it, and likely the HB, interfere with the top shock mount on everything but the stock shocks. The leg that runs behind the shock is beefy and just fits between the shock mount and spring. The Hagons I mounted use a shorter eyelet post than OEM.

The specs on the Transition 4 state it has the integrated rain hood and it's selling for $70 less than the T5. Went with the Gunmetal/black as I wanted a little change from all black. I considered the Hi-Vis but like yours, every one I've seen after a few months is faded and grungy looking.

Installed the aluminum side panels. Not 100% sure I do like the silver as much as expected but will see if they grow on me. Like them better than the black plastic though and I can always paint them. Minor pain is that two (!) of the metal tab nuts that hold the panels broke when I removed the originals...

Cam and I are road tripping tomorrow to pick up the new bike.

I checked earlier and the check has cleared so it's paid for!

And I came home from PA with a friend's pickup for the trip tomorrow. So fingers crossed.

Eric, I feel strongly Jenn will be fine with the stock shocks, do fingers crossed there too, but I'm optimistic the HB rack will be fine.

"Today was a good day" - Ice Cube

Well darkness came early today, which is ironic since we've passed the winter solstice.

It was just a little 600 mile road trip but the new Guzzi V7III Carbon Dark is home and we're happy to have her.

Gotta get the MCO to the DMV to get her registered, but it's winter so no rush there.

Still we can't wait to start break-in.

The Aprilia/Guzzi/Vespa dealer in Accident MD, was ~2K less than anyone else. Couldn't say no to that.

Road trip with Kev was great.  600 miles later we solved all the problems in the universe.

Santa brought me an upgraded 12V charging system for the ‘ol Stornello.  All the way from Denmark!
