Brunch 11/10/2018
The Beemer club is having it's November breakfast at Apron Cafe Saturday. In the unlikely event that someone is interested maybe we could hook up and ride down there.

BTW: While I'm on here. New Sweden BMW is a local club with members mostly from West Central/South New Jersey. An active club, they have a yearly rally in South Jersey, a monthly meeting on Rt 206 just South of Rt 70, and a well attended breakfast/lunch ride every month. Through the riding season, they also have social get togethers like picnics and BBQs and sponsor the New Sweden 450 ride in the Spring.
Although it's a BMW club it really doesn't matter what you ride (one of the guys rides a Harley), the club caters not only to the people that like to put on the miles but also to people more interested in local rides and social activities. If your interested just ask.
I've hesitated putting this on here for a while, but due to the lack of activity here I figured maybe someone on the list might be looking for a place to get a little more involved in motorcycling. After all, it is about the experience of motorcycling and not what your sitting on.

I'm out. Been traveling the past few weekends and have a big backlog of house winterizing stuff to do.

Good turn out (20+) decent food, but we did kind of overwhelm the wait staff. Nice ride through the pines, mid 40's temps and the wind gusts were a little challenging.

Sorry I couldn't make it, got in late from Disney the night before and Fi had a soccer game that morning. Brutal winds....

Wind is never fun. On my Grand Canyon ride a couple years ago a front was blowing in and I recall riding the rent-a-Harley Electra Glide down the road at a 10 degree lean just to keep going straight and doing my best just to keep it between the lines. That ride on a V7 would have been harrowing...

To really experience wind you have to (IMHO) encounter it in a ride across the Northern Plains in the center of our beautiful Country. At times (for hours) the 30/40 MPH wind never stops, and every thing is about 200 miles away. It does strange things to your gas mileage (that can put you in a bad situation), and also to your physical endurance (that can put you in a dangerous situation).
