I always wondered what went on behind THAT DOOR at the Ducati dealership.
Now we know.

Very good, informative with a bit of humor. Always liked his videos.

I find the term 'adventure bike' humorous, like if you buy that style machine all of a sudden you'll be blasting across the Sahara or smashing your way through the Darien Gap.
Kind of like the Harley ' Your not buying just a motorcycle, your buying into a lifestyle' and the buyer sees himself blasting down the road with a bunch of Hells Angels on the way to ravish a small town.
When will people get it that it's all the rider, not the bike.

Yep, it's all about the marketing and selling the image. I wonder how many ADV bikes are actually taken off pavement. I think ADV is just the two-wheeled version of today's SUV. I'm not saying that's a bad thing , more the evolution of the vehicles to meed customer demand for different capabilities or image.
I have an ADV bike and SUV so I can take that rough dirt/gravel road on occasion or in the case of the SUV, not get stuck on ski trips up north. Regular street bikes or cars would likely do fine with the right tires but with more risk and less comfort.
