I have never shipped a bike or had one shipped to me. Maybe someone has, and would like to share things like what to watch out for, cost, procedure and what ever else comes to mind.

The only bike I got shipped was the EV, from MI in Seattle to Philly. We used Forward Air. The dealer had to totally crate the bike. I think it cost me $600 in 2006.

The guy buying my Griso decided to go with [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.] Neither he or I have any experience with them but he did some research on forums and these guys bubbled to the top. Looking at their site they ship bikes wet and do NOT palletize them.

+1 on Haul Bikes by Brian @ Wayne MG. Said they use them exclusively for any long distance work.

Haul Bikes just left with the Griso. The driver was very conscientious and the bikes secured well. Driver said the company only employs riders and that the first $200 of any damage comes out of their pocket so clearly these guys are committed to taking care of the bikes.
