Schedule Monthy meetings

Hi Everyone,

I like the idea of putting a regular meeting on the calendar. This would be on a monthly on the same day, time and location on a weeknight (to avoid weekend conflicts).

Location:

Pennington seems to be about mid-way for most of the active members. Wildflowers Inn located at 2572 Pennington Road RT 31, Pennington, NJ [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.] seems to have a good menu and is open late enough. There's also Pennington Pizza and Grill [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.] and Vito's [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.] nearby.

Day/Time:

How does every 3rd or 4th Monday or Tuesday of the month at 7pm sound?

Totally open to feedback on this so please share your thoughts. One thing to consider is we should make this a commitment. I'd hate to travel an hour to have dinner alone as I'm sure others would feel likewise.

I would be open to attend a monthly meeting but I live in Toms River and that is over an hour to Pennington. Lunch meeting?

Yeah, Pennington is about an hour from everybody which is why I chose it - equal pain for all attendees.

Was proposing dinner as there are a number of folks who still work for The Man and can't take 3 hour lunch breaks.

I'll commit to the evening thing.

That area is an hour for me also. I'll try to show up (which usually means I'll be there) but pick a location and a date..

A few members of this group are also members of New Sweden BMW, that has a monthly meeting (well attended) on the third Tuesday of the month. Just saying.

Then let's go with 4th Tue. I'd prefer avoiding Mondays as it's likely to interfere with holidays and long weekends.

Is 7pm a good time? Allows worker bees to get home and make the ride.

4th Tuesday is good.
7 PM is good.

I would opt for a certain Sunday each month. Breakfast or lunch. I seriously doubt the turnout on a Tuesday night at 7pm will be good. Just my 2 cents…

What does anyone else think about a set Sunday meetup?

Just for information;  New Sweden BMW has their meeting at 7PM on the third Tuesday (6PM to eat there)and usually 20/30 members show up, so it is doable.
Personally I don't care when the meeting is, as I, as you know, usually try to show up.
It is disconcerting to see the lack of input.  

We tried weekends, and the same few show up.
New Sweden has theirs on a weeknight and Black Diamond in the Pocono area has theirs on a weeknight.
The appeal for the weekend is that mostly all, will ride to it. On a weeknight, especially late Fall, Winter and early Spring, some may drive.
I will try to attend either, if possible.

Skylands ST club meets first Wed nights and gun club 2nd Mon. Given the challenges we face with a monthly breakfast/lunch ride I'm not sure weekends are any better than a weeknight.
