Italian Bike Night...
Local to me Restaurant, Cafe' Maria, owned by a for real Italian... - his name Giacomo. He'd like to do an Italian bike night this summer. Just for fun, maybe drum up a little business. Anyway I've been asked if I could help get some bikes up there... It's a small place with maybe 30 parking spots. Any interest in coming to Kingwood one evening this summer, have a little Italian food, sit outside and look at bikes, talk about bikes, etc...
And, please, ANY suggestions on how to pull this off or make it memorable will be appreciated. Maybe thoughts on a general time that would be good. I'm thinking a Saturday night in July or August.
Thanks.
Eric

Wow - what a great idea I hope it works out. Seeing as their are so few Guzzi owners that actually get out and ride their Italian steeds what this state could use is an Italian bike club open to all Italian marques.
I looked this place up, it's only 3+ miles East on Rt12 out of Frenchtown (think Sky manor area)
Years ago their used to be a meeting of Italian bikes at an Italian Restaurant in Freehold by the RR tracks on Main street (now Mex food) that was always well attended. Problem was traffic in the area and parking, looks like that shouldn't be a problem at this location.

It's about an hour and a half from me, and if others like me have to come through the Trenton area it might help to pick a day or time where there will be less traffic.
Actually a weekend afternoon event might be smarter for that, if there's room outdoors around the place. Set up a little sun shade, park some bikes so it's almost like a display. Maybe something else like banners or balloons to grab attention.

I would certainly take part in a "European" day. Bottle of good Italian wine, red sauce, sounds like a winner.

Looks like they have a large menu and a reasonably priced lunch selection. Open at 11 AM. Could be a good club lunch stop.

Hopefully Don Di Croce can fit it into the club schedule.

Be nice to do "family style" for the club. Couple different macaroni dishes, owner could surprise us! Outdoor seating? BYOB.....

Will come if at all possible. Might be a good idea to kick things off earlier than later so more distant folks can participate. Saw signs last year for a car night at a local eatery that started at 8pm - that's too late.

Find a local Ducati club and approach them. Suggest a fun Italian rivalry between Guzzi and Ducati to see who is going to bring the most bikes. We'll lose, but the restaurant wins lol.
