Guzzi National 2019
If anyone knows if there is going to be (or where) a Guzzi National please post it. Or pass on any rumors. Also if there are any Guzzi rallies in the area other than the Virginia Rally please post them or put the info here. Please don't post Rallies that we all know no one on this list will attend, it just clogs up the event section and makes it useless.
I'm not on Wild Guzzi or the New England list so I don't get info on Guzzi rallies in the area. Right now the only Guzzi rallies that I'm aware of that people on here might attend are the Virginia Rally, the Ohio Rally, the Iowa Rally (it's only a days ride away), W. Virginia (Pipestem) and the BMW/Guzzi rally in Heath, Ma.
I'll continue posting local Beemer rallies, till someone objects.

Re: Guzzi National 2019
Last year the Guzzi National was, to be kind, just a bogus attempt to get people to go to an Italian car and motorcycle event in Washington State.
Again I'm not on the other Guzzi sites ( I assume some guys on here are), so I don't get the rumors. I guess there's no mention of a Guzzi National. I just ask because I'd like to work it in with another rally and make a trip out of it.

The same question comes up at some meetings of the Wisconsin Moto Guzzi Riders club. When it was suggested our club consider hosting a national rally they decided to pass and keep working on the WMGR rally. Less headaches it sounded like.

As of the publication of the latest MGNOC December newsletter, there is no MGNOC National rally scheduled for 2019 yet.

Bringing this back up. Again I'm not on the Guzzi sites. Any mention of a rally?

Nope, no National Rally. They are having a Wildguzzi rally in Cedar Vale KS the second week in May.

I'm not trying to be a wise ass (seriously) but what exactly do you get for your club dues. Assuming your a member of the MGNOC.

I get a nice newsletter every month for $30 yearly membership. I'm OK with it.

That's a digital newsletter right, no cost to publish or mail.
I wonder how many on this list actually belong to the MGNOC ???

I'm sure there is much time and coordination invested on a monthly basis. Again, it's OK with me.

Hey - who am I to say how someone spends their money. I was curious because it came up at the Beemer Meeting and I was surprised how many people didn't belong to the national club.
Comparing the two the Beemer club is a better deal.

Re: Guzzi National 2019
I imagine the internet killed it. Back in the day if you didn't belong to the club you didn't hear anything about new bikes, where the rally's were or where to get parts. What killed it for me was finding out it really wasn't a club, but instead a business run by Frank Wedge.Nick wrote:I don't think the MGNOC's paying membership consists of many ..... ;-)

I do miss the paper newsletters. Haven't read the computer version in years. I am a member, but Guzzi riders won't ever conform to rules like other clubs. Putting on rallies is a financial losing proposition, especially a National. Bunch of cheap asses want to just show, eat and drink for next to nothing.
