December in New York. I went several years ago. Moto Guzzi was not there!

Have been to many of these and haven't seen Guzzi once. Did not go last year but heard manufacturer participation was lower than in the past. Last time I went it seemed to be 1/3 bike displays and 2/3 Harley-crotch rocket flea market.

And why these are scheduled in the dead of winter remains a mystery to me...

Harry has been attending them for years. I'm sure he'll chime in soon. He may be here

Back from 'The Glen':
I'll confess I've gone just about every year and just about every year I say that was my last time --  AND THEN  I go.  Definitely not worth the money especially if you own a Euro bike, but it's in the middle of the non-riding (for many) months and it's something motorcycle related to do.  As to why they have it right before Christmas I'll never understand, usually after buying presents for the tribe, my discretionary income is at it's lowest ebb of the year.
When Guzzi brought out the 1400 cruisers they had a first class display with about eight bikes on the floor and it seemed to draw a low of interest.  Naturally the next year their was nothing from the factory, only a  cafed roundhead in the JP Cycle display and a new V7 stuffed in the rear of an aftermarket vendors display.
Floor space at the New York show is the highest of all the shows, so the chances of seeing a display from a manufacture that has less than one percent of the market share is understandable.
Guys - it's part of the Guzzi mystique.
It is however interesting walking thru the vendors, getting your glasses cleaned, and looking at the stuff that the great unwashed (or people that are trying to act like the great unwashed) spend their money on.   Big plus it gives me a reason to stop in Rutts Hut, off Rt3 in Clifton, on the way home.
I'll likely go up early Saturday and take the ferry across.
